It was such a joy to be part of Carson’s project – Icons of Margate ✨ @carsonparkinfairley guided myself and other Margate locals to create these beautiful framed collages to celebrate our lives so far, with the idea that everyone is an icon. 🙌

We spent a few evenings together cutting up photos and painting our frames, while sharing stories from our lives and discussing the things we love.

In my icon, you’ll see my favourite food and drinks, places that are important to me, my love of the sky, lots of people I love, my amazing husband, and of course: our beloved cat, Gertrude. All immortalised in colour and crafts!

It was awesome to see all the icons exhibited @dreamlandmargate over the summer. My icon now hangs in my studio as a daily reminder of how iconic life can be when you think of everything that makes it amazing. (And yes, a pizza can be one of those things!)

I have mixed feelings about winter! These memes say it better than I ever could! 🥶
